Deciding On The Right TV Stand Furniture Is Not Always Easy

When TVs were all big and bulky and heavy, TV stand furniture was pretty dull and boring. They had little to do with style, and everything to do with pure functionality. If you needed to a television stand you really didn’t have to make many decisions. They had one size to fit every television up to 26″. Putting a smaller TV on top simply meant you had more room to put junk next to it like the remote or the TV Guide. Nowadays, TV stands furniture has come into its own.

TV furniture is no longer made just to hold TVs, these now are designed to coordinate with styles and decors to match the room. There are different sizes, colors, materials, and even different pieces. You can buy only the TV bracket to hold the wide screen TV, or you can build an entire TV wall unit that has lighting and built in speakers for your home theater system.

Television furniture ensembles have a variety of choices to add to your TV cabinet or stand. Start with the plasma or LCD TV stand, add a book case on the side, and end units that have shelving and storage for CDs, DVDs, and all sorts of media. Adjustable media storage shelving can usually accommodate a VCR, DVD player, satellite or cable box, gaming consoles, and all the attachments and accessories.

Custom LCD TV stand furniture sizes are available from most furniture stores. If they have a 60″ stand on display, ask what other sizes you can order. Usually there are two or three other options for the LCD TV stand, along with the add on pieces to build an entire unit – the end pieces, bookshelves, overhead lighting, storage, etc. By purchasing the pieces you need you can easily customize the LCD TV stands furniture and its functionality.

Sometimes you can have the LCD or plasma TV stand furniture custom built. It costs more and it takes longer, but if this is your only option to get what you want, you may have to do it. Custom builds can frequently take as much as 8 months to get because the manufacturer might only run orders with a minimum number of units because retooling can be expensive. If you want to go with a high end name brand Then Bush TV stand furniture is what you need. The Bush furniture TV stand is a very high quality product that sells itself. Bush is synonymous with reliability and quality.

Some high end retailers are noted for their individual styles, and if this is what you’re looking for but can’t really afford it, check out some used TV stand furniture. Either EBay or even something like Craigslist frequently have these for sale; people have moving sales or they want to redecorate. Just remember you’re buying from a private party, so don’t expect these things to be delivered. You’ll need to find a local seller and then figure out how to pick it up and take it home without damaging the pieces. Establish what size you need and where you want to put it in the room then go out and pick. If you need to place it in a corner the corner TV stand furniture is what you need to buy.

For a really unique look, try getting something that wasn’t even meant to hold a TV. How about a bureau or a desk? Because TVs are thinner and lighter than only a few years ago, these are very viable options. For casual styles, bring the kitchen into the family room and get a butcher block island with some storage drawers. If your family room is actually part of the kitchen, so much the better! No matter what style you need just do your research before you decide to buy your new flat panel TV stand furniture.

Should I Install My TV Mount Or Hire A Professional

I have finally been able to afford a Plasma television consequently I have been told it is probably a good idea to check on a TV mount. I can use a TV wall mount bracket to hang my my television to the wall for better viewing and protection of my television. Apparently, I can do this myself but, the question is, do I really want to do that?

After a bit of browsing for do it yourself TV mounting on the Internet, I have found a few good ideas which I think will work for me. There are quite a few TV wall mounts to choose from. But, as I keep researching, I am getting more apprehensive about doing this by myself. There are several things need to be taken into consideration when putting up any kind of TV wall mount.

LCD and Plasma TV mounts are capable of handling a variety of weights. Some from zero to one hundred fifty pounds. Some plasma or LCD TV wall mounts will handle weights of two hundred pounds and more. There are flat screen TV wall mounts which are fairly simple to hang yourself. You mount the TV mounting bracket on your wall, mount your television, and that is where it stays. It does seem very simple. But, it is actually not as easy as it seems.

TV Ceiling mounts are another variety. These will also carry a large amount of weight. This does not allow the television to sit against a wall, however. But, if you do not mind it hanging from overhead, then this may be the choice for you. The TV ceiling mount is a great way to not only get your flat panel television up high but get it out of the way of other decor in your room.

Also, since I am a woman, I am concerned that I will not be able to hold up that amount of weight for so long. It has nothing to do with strength. I am a strong woman but, to have to stay in one position for a certain amount of time (no matter what the weight) does put a strain upon the muscles. A plasma TV wall mount is not the heavy part its the television itself.

You should have some rudimentary skills with a few tools to hang any plasma or LCD TV wall mount. Some of the very basic equipment is a level, stud finder, drill, screw drivers, electrical tape, socket set. Now, please let me stress that different flat panel TV mounts will require different tools. It is also stressed just because you have a knowledge of tools, does not mean you can put them to use.

Now, before you decide to handle a job like this, you first need to ask yourself if this is truly a job for you. Swallow your pride. Professional TV mounting installers are getting cheaper. Someone who is an expert at this will not cause the type of damage that an amateur can. Be honest with yourself and if you can not do it, please, for your sake, hire a professional to handle your TV mount because trying to mount a flat panel television yourself without knowledge or skills can be a disaster.

Perhaps You Need DVD Storage Furniture As Well

DVD storage furniture is very convenient to have if you have a lot of DVDs just laying around in cases. They cut back on the clutter and they make your home look a lot more organized. I am currently in search of a DVD storage unit that I can use in place of my book shelf that I am currently using.

I have my DVDs on a book shelf and they keep falling over because the book shelf was not made for DVDs this is why they make DVD storage cabinets because they will fit regular DVD cases in them without them falling over. I have seen DVD storage shelves and units for as little as ten or twelve dollars and these will usually fit around ten or twenty DVDs. Most of your DVD CD storage furniture will coincide with each other. You can conveniently use one cabinet for both.

I have also seen different DVD storage that will hold as many as nine hundred DVDs and they cost as much as twelve hundred dollars. There are some which have glass doors on them and they are more fancy looking than other and are also more costly. Glass door DVD storage is very modern and contemporary looking which much of todays market is after.

Sometimes it can be hard to find a DVD storage unit that will fit with your decor especially if you buy it after you have bought your entertainment center, coffee table or end table. I made this mistake and now I can not find what I am looking for. I could always paint one if I needed it that bad, but I do not have time for this and it would be much easier if I could just find a TV stand DVD storage case that matches nearly exact to my living room decor.

There are a lot of places that sell DVD media storage furniture. You can find them at places online which offer free shipping, you can get them at online auctions and you can even get them at stores that might be local to you. It is important to get a DVD storage rack or tower that fits in the place you want to put it before you get home. To make sure it fits you should measure the area where you want to put it before you buy it and you should also bring a measuring tape with you when you go to pick one up so that you can measure it and this will ensure that the measurements on the media storage units are correct and also that it will fit where you need it to fit.

You should always read reviews about things before you buy them and you can usually find these online. I enjoy them so much because they are convenient when you need to find the perfect DVD to watch. As opposed to looking through a book that has DVDs in it.

I have one of these too and I prefer having my shelves as opposed to switching pages in a book over and over. Make sure you look for a good price on DVD storage furniture that you are looking to buy because you do not want to over pay for something that you could get for much cheaper somewhere else.

Do You Have TV Wall Bracket For Your Flat Screen?

TVs are becoming thinner and thinner with the introduction of LCD and plasma screens it’s becoming much more viable to use a TV wall bracket. The use of TV wall brackets is a great way of displaying your television without having to worry about buying an expensive and often large TV cabinet or console. This allows you to claim back some of the room in your living room while at the same time adding to any contemporary interior decor by installing a flat screen TV on the wall.

Having a TV wall mount bracket isn’t just for convenience though it can also be necessary. For example if you want to have a large widescreen television in your bedroom then you probably won’t have enough room to have a TV cabinet or stand. A plasma or LCD TV wall bracket can be a great way of making sure that you can see the plasma television without having to use a cabinet or large piece television furniture.

But what should you look for in TV wall mount brackets? The main thing to think about is how big your television is and how much it weighs. You need to make sure that your TV is small enough to fit on the wall brackets for LCD TV that you buy and also light enough that it won’t cause any problems for the TV bracket. It’s usually best to make sure that you go for a bracket that is slightly too strong for your television so that you know it will hold with 100% certainty.

Another thing you need to think about is how flexible or movable you want your television to be. For example in your lounge you may want to have the ability to swivel your TV around to face different directions and in this case you have to go for a more expensive brand like Samsung TV wall brackets. If you’re just installing a television in your room and have no need for changing the angle of viewing a fixed TV wall mounting bracket is much cheaper and often easier to install.

When installing TV wall mounting brackets make sure before you start drilling into the wall that you know exactly what’s behind it so that you don’t accidentally drill through any wires or cables. If you aren’t confident in installing your own wall brackets for flat screen TV then it’s often best to get someone who knows what they’re doing to do it for you. The last thing you want is a TV wall bracket that isn’t installed correctly and hence can’t cope with the weight of the television.
