There Is No Equal For The Glass TV Stand
If you are anything like me, you are probably in love with the look of glass TV stands. Once I got the huge wood entertainment center out of my house, I was easily able to put a smaller, more elegant looking glass TV stand in place of it. It really made a huge difference in the appearance of the room. Everything looked so cluttered before, and having such huge furniture ended up blocking off the door way and causing corners to stick out where you walked.
It didn’t matter how long you knew that the TV was there, you were going to walk into it at one point or another. Once I finally needed to have stitches from it, I knew that it had to go. This is when I went out and bought a nice black glass TV stand.

All of the furniture in my living room is black leather and being that I’m a bachelor, it is the way it had to be. The black and clear glass TV stand was a perfect fit for my living room, but for others it may not be such a clear cut decision for you to make.
First, determine what type of TV that you have to figure out exactly how much of the TV stand can be made of glass. If you are trying to put a big 52″ fat back television onto a glass entertainment center, you may find out that the TV is too heavy and will break through the glass at one time or another. These are built incredibly well with enormous strength capabilities, but some of the bigger fat back model televisions are just too heavy for them. It is strongly recommended that you do not place this heavy of a TV on a solid piece of glass. You may want to instead consider a wooden TV stand structure with glass accents for your entertainment center.

For those of you with the lighter style televisions like plasma and LCD you can easily get away with purchasing an all glass LCD TV stand. The weight of these TVs can easily be placed on TV glass stands, so you can rest assured that your TV and the stand it is on are going to be safe. There are tons of design options available for these, ranging from frosted glass TV stands, all the way to black tinted glass with lighted accents in them.
These are pretty dramatic, and you should expect to spend a bit more for an entertainment center with this type of design over one that is simply a glass structure, but the styling that it adds to your room is beyond words. There are numerous models that range in price for you to choose from though, these are simply a few ideas of what you can expect while looking for a glass TV stand.
