TV wall mounting a television on a wall involves several considerations. These are location and height, power source and cable connection and the mounting system. The location and height of a television is subjective depending on the desired view-ability for a particular room or area. If wall mounting a TV in a club for example the unit should be centered above the average head height of patrons that may be standing near the set. In most cases six feet will apply as the average head height for flat panel TV wall mounts.

In addition the location of the TV wall mount should be such that the greater number of patrons that may occupy the club or a certain area of the club can see the screen. An effective way of making these height and location determinations is by using a piece of cardboard or other light weight material that is the size of the TV screen. By simply holding this piece at different locations and heights the best location for the plasma or LCD TV wall mount can be determined.

In a home or condominium the height of the TV can be any height that is a comfortable viewing angle for the particular individuals. Some prefer viewing on a horizontal level and some prefer their LCD TV wall mounts slightly above or below horizontal. In addition a flat TV wall mount should be mounted so that daylight reflections from nearby windows or glass doors do not intrude with viewing.

Finally with regard to selecting a location for the TV LCD or plasma TV wall mount, the proximity of a power source and cable connection may have some bearing. Many newer condominiums and homes have an electrical outlet and cable connection at mid height on a living room or other wall that is a likely location for a flat screen TV wall mounts. Where a power source or cable connection is not in close proximity to the desired location of the TV wall mount bracket it is recommended that a qualified electrician be enlisted to install these outlets.

Once these considerations have been addressed all that remains is the selection and installation of the plasma or LCD TV wall mount bracket. Brackets for flat screen televisions are available in two basic types and both have provisions for attaching any flat screen TV up to 60” wide. The adjustable TV wall mounting bracket allows for the flat screen TV to be manipulated for convenient viewing which is ideal for larger living rooms and family rooms. The other type is a stationary flat screen TV wall mount bracket that holds the flat screen TV close to the face of the wall which is best for smaller rooms. These flat screen wall mounting brackets both come complete with illustrated instructions as well as the required mounting screws and hardware needed to mount the bracket to a standard plaster, wood or block wall.

TV wall mounting brackets are also available for mounting a standard TV to a wall and these come in both adjustable and stationary styles. These brackets feature an integrated shelf that supports the weight of the TV set and the bracket can be attached to any wall with heavy-duty screws or expanders and lag bolts. To sum up basically if you want your television TV wall mounted then hire a professional unless you have handyman skills. This is a great addition to any home and comfortable take the place of bulky TV stands.

I have finally been able to afford a Plasma television consequently I have been told it is probably a good idea to check on a TV mount. I can use a TV wall mount bracket to hang my my television to the wall for better viewing and protection of my television. Apparently, I can do this myself but, the question is, do I really want to do that?

After a bit of browsing for do it yourself TV mounting on the Internet, I have found a few good ideas which I think will work for me. There are quite a few TV wall mounts to choose from. But, as I keep researching, I am getting more apprehensive about doing this by myself. There are several things need to be taken into consideration when putting up any kind of TV wall mount.

LCD and Plasma TV mounts are capable of handling a variety of weights. Some from zero to one hundred fifty pounds. Some plasma or LCD TV wall mounts will handle weights of two hundred pounds and more. There are flat screen TV wall mounts which are fairly simple to hang yourself. You mount the TV mounting bracket on your wall, mount your television, and that is where it stays. It does seem very simple. But, it is actually not as easy as it seems.

TV Ceiling mounts are another variety. These will also carry a large amount of weight. This does not allow the television to sit against a wall, however. But, if you do not mind it hanging from overhead, then this may be the choice for you. The TV ceiling mount is a great way to not only get your flat panel television up high but get it out of the way of other decor in your room.

Also, since I am a woman, I am concerned that I will not be able to hold up that amount of weight for so long. It has nothing to do with strength. I am a strong woman but, to have to stay in one position for a certain amount of time (no matter what the weight) does put a strain upon the muscles. A plasma TV wall mount is not the heavy part its the television itself.

You should have some rudimentary skills with a few tools to hang any plasma or LCD TV wall mount. Some of the very basic equipment is a level, stud finder, drill, screw drivers, electrical tape, socket set. Now, please let me stress that different flat panel TV mounts will require different tools. It is also stressed just because you have a knowledge of tools, does not mean you can put them to use.

Now, before you decide to handle a job like this, you first need to ask yourself if this is truly a job for you. If you are dead set on not using TV stands then Professional TV mounting installers can be at your service for a price. Someone who is an expert at this will not cause the type of damage that an amateur can. Be honest with yourself and if you can not do it, please, for your sake, hire a professional to handle your TV mount because trying to mount a flat panel television yourself without knowledge or skills can be a disaster.

Using TV wall mounts to position a television will free up valuable floor space, allows the TV to be positioned perfectly for comfortable viewing and will enhance the looks and living space of the room. LCD TV wall mounts are available in many different styles, including cantilever or articulating arm type TV mounts, and flat screen TV wall mounts that swivel, tilt, and extend to allow for perfect positioning of the unit. There are wall mounts for plasma TVs as well as LCD TVs.

Every modern home theater should incorporate a flat panel TV wall mount into their design because there is simply no need to have a TV taking up valuable space on the floor when there is a much better option available. Eliminating that bulky entertainment center will go a long way toward making a room look more appealing and it will place the television at an ideal ergonomic angle for comfortable viewing. A plasma TV wall mount has the added bonus of keeping the TV set out of reach of small fingers.

Keeping in mind that self installation is not for everyone, a TV wall mount bracket can actually be installed by a handy homeowner. However, some are reluctant to undertake the task and in these cases, the homeowner should call a certified installer to put the system in place. Still, a competent homeowner who is comfortable handling tools and enjoys home improvement projects can usually install the TV wall mounts without a problem by following the instructions that come with the TV wall mount kit.

Whether a person is purchasing plasma TV wall mount or an LCD TV wall mount, there are a few things to consider, such as what kind of finish they would prefer, whether they want a fixed or movable TV wall mount, and of course the size and the weight of the television that they are looking to mount.

TVs are seldom sold with their own hardware for mounting so the TV owner will have to purchase it separately. Plasma TV wall mounts and LCD TV wall mounts both install in a similar fashion, and there are many different types of them available from retailers at local stores as well as online. Before purchasing a wall mount a buyer needs to be certain that their TV is compatible with wall mounting. They should check the TV box or the owner’s manual to be certain that their particular TV is ‘VESA Compatible’ which means that it can be attached to a TV wall mount.

Since TV wall mounting options are available in many different styles for many different brands of TV one does not have to rely solely on TV stands anymore. After ascertaining that the TV is compatible with wall mounting, a little research will allow a TV owner to find the kind of mount that offers all of the features that they want so they can mount their TV in the ideal space in their home or office.

The problem with having a large LCD TV is that even though they’re much thinner than the traditional TV’s that used to clutter up our homes you still need an LCD TV mount or stand to put them on. The solution to TV cabinets and stands taking up a large area of your living room is to use an LCD TV wall mount. Not only will this give you more space in the living room but it’ll also create a more modern feel.

Choosing and installing the right LCD TV wall mounts for your TV isn’t always straightforward though. As a general rule, if you aren’t sure how to install a wall mount for LCD TV then always hire a professional to do it for you. It can be a difficult task and potentially dangerous if you were to drill through the wrong section of wall. It’s usually in your best interests to spend some extra money to have someone who knows what they’re doing install the LCD TV wall mount bracket for you so that you know it’s securely in place and wont come crashing down.

The first and most obvious thing that you need to think about when buying a new wall mount for LCD TVs is the size of your television. While most wall mounts will cover a range of different sizes you need to make sure that you TV is within this range. In general regular 32 LCD TV wall mount will be the average but with the prices of flat panels coming down steadily then a 42 LCD TV wall mount would be your best bet. You want to make sure that you do not plan to go bigger down the road. That will require buying a bigger TV mount and that is not smart shopping.

The great thing about LCD TVs is that they’re relatively light so you probably won’t have a problem with the weight guidance from the wall mount. However, it never hurts to check, and if you plan to get a plasma screen in the future then you might need to get a sturdier plasma LCD TV wall mount because these are a lot heavier than LCDs.

Once you’ve decided on the basics then need to think about which kind of LCD TV wall mounting brand you like best. While there are several different types, the one you choose will depend on your own needs as well as which style you’re going for. For example, if you purchase a Samsung television then it stands to reason that a Samsung LCD TV wall mount will definitely be a wise choice but not a necessity.

if you want a TV to be fixed there isn’t a much point getting a swivel LCD TV mount because they generally stick out further from the wall. If you want your LCD TV to blend in with the wall as much as possible then this isn’t ideal. Swivel mounts also tend to cost more than ones that are only hinged up and down. Basically do your homework so you can make an educated guess on what LCD TV wall mount will work best with your new flat panel television. Good Luck!
